Year 3 & 4

The future is

There will always be a future. But what will that future be like, and how can you do research into it? And above all, why is it so important?

How can your insights on the current zeitgeist turn into inspiration for a specific future? You will learn how to scan and analyse but also apply.

In this Stone, you will study the changes in the current zeitgeist and what they might mean for near or distant futures. You will do this by asking questions, examining other perspectives and exploring the world. How will we deal with future pandemics? Has the world become more inclusive and do we still believe in our democracy? Or what trends are we seeing in digitalization? All these changes are interrelated, and you will develop a story based on the insights you gain. You will not become a clairvoyant, but you will become more skilled in ‘future literacy’.

This future literacy will enable you to explore the future for an international client. You will use the results of your research to inform and inspire a company or organization, and provide them with insights into possible futures which will in turn enable them to navigate the future strategically with more confidence. You will make them future proof and give them the inspiration, aspiration and hopefully confidence to plan for the future.

Determining and mapping change which you analyse to create insights for your client and their future. Your insights regarding the future are narrated in a storytelling product, to inspire your audiences on how to navigate the uncertain.
