In the Research & Testing course you will be taught how to do desk and field research how to conduct proper target-group research. This will include user testing and UX. In the Strategy & Concepting course you will work from the briefing stage towards an idea and concept through rounds of concepting, prototyping and iterations whilst applying creative techniques. The Digital Design course is all about ‘the work’, and you will actually make your concept and find appropriate ways to transform it into a prototype and find effective ways to visually show your prototype.
Expert sessions will be offered to inspire you and give you the tools of immersive techniques, trend research, experience psychology and expectation management, AR, VR and XR, after effects, marcom-strategy both on and off-line. You will document your process by means of a process book on a MIRO board.
Each week you will have a 150-minute class for every expertise and one showroom class in which the outcome of your process and weekly assignments can be discussed with your peers and your 3 teachers.
Could modern technology and media technology in particular help create new ways to experience culture? You will ensure that more people can enjoy culture by developing an innovative media concept. This can be popular culture, but also culture with a capital C – you will work for example for clients such as museums, pop venues and festivals.
You will do this by using immersive techniques where needed and appropriate, e.g., innovative technology such as VR or AR. The media concept you create must be designed for a target group which, for whatever reason, is not or barely aware of culture, or is hard to reach for your client. In addition, your concept must also have added value for the original target group.
